Centrifuge Servicing, just got safer.......

06 September 2010

MSE Hiller Ltd. is one of the latest successful companies to join a leading edge scheme, designed to help the Uk Centrifuge repair industry to improve its safety record.

The Derbyshire based centrifuge firm recently received Accreditation from SAFE contractor, a programme which recognises very high standards of health and safety practise amongst UK contractors.

Operating, servicing and maintaining equipment at customers' sites is a major part of MSE Hiller's business which is involved in the supply and rental of Centrifuges and sludge dewatering equipment to the food, beverage, sewage, chemical and waste water Industries.

SAFE contractor Accreditation is expected to enhance the company's ability to attract new clients and demonstrates the firm's commitment to working safety.

Mr Darran Hughes, Operations Director to SAFE contractor said, "Major organisations can no longer run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies".

Under the SAFE contractor system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.

Those companies meeting the highest standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via the website.

Employer organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, which enables them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site. These employers agree that, as users of the scheme, they will engage only those who have received accreditation.

Over 100 major nation-wide businesses, from several key sectors, have already signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work.

MSE Hiller has continued to further develop its safe working principles and now offers a service which is second to none.
