MSE Hiller a Chesterfield Champion and proud to support Destination Chesterfield

22 January 2014

The Directors of MSE Hiller are proud to be associated with the Chesterfield Champions.

The Chesterfield Champions Scheme is a powerful network of companies and organisations that are helping to drive development of the local economy and showcase all that is good about Chesterfield.

The borough of Chesterfield has a population of over 100,000 with some 71,000 in Chesterfield - Derbyshire’s largest town.

Chesterfield is located 12 miles from Sheffield and 15 miles from Derby; both areas with a strong tradition in quality engineering.

The peak district national park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is some 15 mins away

The workshop and offices of MSE Hiller are based at Markham Vale, an area previously renowned for its mining heritage and MSE Hiller are proud to be able to invest in the future development of this area and employ five apprentices who all originate from local areas such as Grassmoor, Tupton, Mansfield and Matlock and attend courses in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, machining, CAD and welding.  They are now also gaining experience and on the job training in fitting, machining, welding and balancing all useful trades for the future.

MSE Hiller will continue to have strong links with the local community and as well as being involved with the Chesterfield Champions and Destination Chesterfield we are currently proud sponsors of the local Chesterfield Football Club and the Chesterfield Panthers Rugby Club.
